Over the course of 10 weeks, students will learn some basics of the Mi'kmaq language in a culturally safe environment with the goal of being able to communicate more effectively with the Mi'kmaq community. Through listening, speaking, and storytelling, this class is designed to create a safe space to learn the language both from Brigitta and from fellow students. We all have so much knowledge to share and this is encouraged for this class. Level 3 builds on the lessons learned in Level 1 and Level 2 and expands on knowledge for basic conversation.
