Children’s Community Clothing Swap

Under One Sky and Wolastoqey Tribal Council (WTCI) invite you to our Children’s Clothing Swap this Sunday, November 30th, from 10 AM–2 PM at the Maqiyahtimok Centre!

Everyone is welcome! You do not need to donate in order to participate. Come browse, connect, and fill a bag with gently used children’s clothing.

Traditional Pottery Workshop with Mi'kmaq artist Valerie Jean: Day 4 (Traditional Firing)

Over the 4 part workshop, participants will learn about traditional techniques and create their very own handmade pottery with clay, with an on-the-land component of traditional firing techniques at Under One Sky.

Community Food Smart Orders Due

Under One Sky is a Community Food Smart (CFS) Distributor. CFS is a bulk food buying club for individuals and families keen on purchasing quality fruits and vegetables at affordable prices, sourced from local farmers when possible.

Members can place an order for one or two fresh produce bags a month. The price of a food bag is $15. There is no requirement to place an order every month.

We invite you to join us, Indigenous Women of the Wabanaki Territories and Gignoo Transition House at our centre on 7 Leverman Street for a gathering to honour the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People.

This is a time for reflection, healing, and solidarity. Together, we will share food, stories, and ceremony as we honour our loved ones and stand together for justice. All are welcome. Families, friends, allies and community members are encouraged to come, learn, and support one another.

With support from Canada Heritage, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting the third annual Psi-te Npomawsuwinuwok (All My People) Wabanaki Gathering! All are welcomed and encouraged to attend this gathering focusing on healing and celebrating Indigenous peoples, our resiliency and our cultures.

Join us September 30th from 12-5PM at St. Mary's First Nations Old Reserve as we honour our children, survivors, communities and ancestors on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
