The Tree Tapping Community Event (March 14–15, 2026) is a two-day, all-ages, hands-on outdoor learning experience focused on the traditional and contemporary practice of maple sap harvesting. On Day 1 (Saturday, March 14), participants will engage in a guided tree identification walk, a full tapping demonstration, and a supervised hands-on tapping activity. On Day 2 (Sunday, March 15), participants are invited to return to observe and collect overnight sap after enjoying pancake breakfast, witness an sap reduction demonstration, concluding with a maple syrup tasting across multiple grades. Reflect on the full cycle from tap to table. The event is free and open to all. Appropriate outdoor clothing is required; a full dress plan will be provided upon registration.
